Moving Day
My house is packed up tightly in lots of boxes, with packing tape, scissors and various magic markers to label everything strewn about. Our movers surprised us (to put it lightly) last night by calling to inform us that they are coming on Saturday instead of Sunday! Thus our 48 hours to pack turned into less than a 24! More later...

We almost forgot how stressful moving is, but helping our daughter move out of our house served as a pretty good reminder. You always have more stuff than you think you do thus creating the need to run out for more boxes and last minute packing. The mover was more or less on time, but was in a bad mood. I guess the 98% temps and high humidity didn't help. However, when Ann asked him to double up the padding on an anitque china cabinet, he took it as an insult to his profession. Today, when a neighbor stopped to say that the "professional" mover knocked down a stop sign down the street, we were left wondering if we made the right choice. We got through it and are relaxing today, except for Brian who is driving to Chicago. Tune in next week for an update on the big move.
